| Okay...I guess I should update this in case some of my CGR homies decide to stop by.
I'm working with a church near the Outer Banks of North Carolina right now. I've been there since the first week of December and it's going great.
I just started Spring semester so I'm trying to stay focused. Leaving CGR may end up being a huge blessing by the time it's over with. I'm excited because this is the second half of my Junior year. I will be graduating in a little over a year. That is something I had almost given up on. If you had asked me five years ago...I would've never imagined getting the chance to come back and graduate from college. God is awesome.
What else? Robin is back in school and will be finishing up her Sophomore year this semester. Once again...God opened doors that we thought had been closed forever.
The kids are all doing good. Life is good. Let's see if I can think up some interesting topics of discussion.

| I have left the CGR for now...perhaps forever. I guess I'll bring this thing back from the dead for those CGR folks who used to hang with me here.
I do have another Xanga (which I've already mentioned) that is for interaction with people from school. Most of them don't know this one exists and that is good. I can't discuss some of the things we discuss here on that one simply because it gets monitored by people from school. I know that sucks...but I know it happens and I deal with it.
Who out there still reads this thing?

| There's this site that let's you generate fake church signs. Too much fun.

| I know it's been a long time. I do have another Xanga that I keep that
is frequented by my classmates. I figured that I ought to at least
update this to let you guys know what's going on.
It's Winter break right now and Christmas is just around the corner. I
finished the first semester with all A's. Woo hoo. I'm taking 18 hours
next semester and am singing tenor in a choral group that will tour
during Easter break.
I'm also serving as Youth Minister for a small church up in Smithfield,
Virginia. The folks up there are awesome and have really made us feel
like part of their family.
Robin is good. She's working as a manager at the McDonalds here in
E-City. Geoffry is doing reall well in fourth grade. He's the number
one Accelerated Reader in the whole school. Christopher is at the same
school in Pre-K. He's is also doing good. Robin works nights so Jamie
doesn't have to go to daycare. Mommy is with her during the day when
I'm in class and Daddy has her at night. She's the first one of our
kids to get that and we're thankful that god provided the way.
That's about it. I will probably continue to update this for those of
you who don't feel like messing with ANOTHER Lee blog. If you do want
to read that one the user name is OldmanRBC. You're welcome to join
along or you can keep your eye on this one for periodic updates.
Later guys.

| I'm really getting back into what I consider traditional Gospel music. I was largely inspired by the books I read on Johnny Cash and partially by the churches I grew up in. I'm gonna keep the name Oldmangrady because I think it sounds sort of country and Gospel at the same time. I want to record a demo with just me and guitar and MAYBE a little mandolin if I can find someone who plays.
Oldmangrady - Gospelsongs (tentative song list)
Uncloudy Day Will The Circle Be Unbroken Sweet By And By I Saw The Light I'll Fly Away Farther Along The Christian Life Leaning On The Everlasting Arms On Jordan's Stormy Banks
I'm also hoping to write a couple of original tunes to throw in there as well. |
